What even is "connection", anyway?
We hear so much about making a personal connection with clients and customers, especially when it comes to the content we’re creating. But how do you really do that? What even is connection, anyway?
There’s so often stuff going on behind the scenes around here that I want to share with you and pull out little nuggets and takeaways from, and having just FOUR podcast publishing Wednesdays in February isn’t enough…
Especially when you bite off a topic that’s just a little too big to chew like Connection (which turns out just gets my wheels spinning into idea overdrive).
In this episode, I share a personal story and the takeaways behind it about how to build a bridge between you and those interacting with your content so you can build a connection with your clients and customers in the way only YOU can.
I get into:
How to overcome some of the negative self-talk that stops you from sharing personal stories and getting vulnerable
What it means to show up for others and why it’s so meaningful
What connection really means
How to create more connection between you and your clients/audience members by creating a personal bond
The importance of your health and wellness
Reframing boundaries and capacity and how they can help you connect more with your customers and clients
Content writing tips
And more!

Episode Key Takeaways:
Your Health Matters
Our health is PARAMOUNT because these bodies are responsible for helping us get to where we want to and need to go, our bodies are a key tool for connecting with others. And the healthier WE are, the more we can foster connection with others.
Showing up for Others in a Meaningful Way
I learned a valuable lesson in what SHOWING UP for others and staying connected through the hard stuff really means, and how I want to be sure to be that person for others too. Because they remember it!! It goes a long long long way!
Boundaries vs. Capacity
Protecting your boundaries and capacity isn’t what I thought of as DISCONNECTING or pushing people away, it’s actually about CONNECTING more deeply because you’re WAY more present and able to be other-focused when you show up.
Making Connections with Clients and Customers through Content
When you’re sitting down to create your next piece of content – whether it’s for social media, an email, or a podcast episode – I want to challenge you to share a little bit of yourself, connect something going on in your world, and life to what your clients on the other side are experiencing. I also encourage you to write and create like you’re just speaking to ONE person. Like you’re having a conversation with someone on the other side who needs to hear your story, your words, your encouragement. Speak to their hearts.
